Nothing terribly interesting to tell anyone who might read this. More for me than you I suppose. Maybe I should have started this entry with, "Dear Diary... "
My Name is Melissa. Wife of Ian. Mother of Lily and Henry. Daughter of Donna. Sister of Brian and Dustin.
That mostly sums me up. I guess that's a problem. When you are 27 and can only define yourself by what you are to others.
Don't misunderstand. I love being a wife, a mother, a daughter and a sister. I am luccky to be. However, I wish I knew what else I was meant to be, too.
A little about my family.
Ian works for Verizon. He likes his job and is good at it. I think this is the first time he really feels proud of that aspect of his life. He deserves that and I am happy for him.
Lily turned 4 in April. She is a bundle of energy. She is full of comedy, compassion and crazy. She is my best friend.
Henry was born in August of 2007. We call him our "bonus baby". He is the sweetest boy. The love he shares with his sister warms my heart.
My mom, Donna. She means more to me than she will ever know. I think the world of her and owe her so much. Without her, I would be lost.
I guess that's enough insight for tonight. More later...
